How Do I Get A Loan?

You must be a member of Burnley Area Community Credit Union (BACCU) and aged 18 years or over in order to apply for a loan. If it is your first loan with BACCU you will need an appointment with a loans officer. Call us, take out membership and make an appointment for a loan interview. How Much Does It Cost To Borrow?

The Credit Union offers fixed interest rates which typically, but not always, depend on how much you wish to borrow. For more details on current interest rates click this quick link. Interest rates

For Example: £100.00 borrowed over 12 months or 52 weeks would typically attract a total interest charge of only £13.50 (APR 26.82%) There are no penalties for early repayment of your loan and if you repay early, you gain by paying less interest than originally quoted.

Important Reminder about Withdrawing Savings when you have a Loan

Provided your loan is up to date, you are free to withdraw savings held in your "Easy Access Account".  Savings held in your "Share 1 Account" are held as security for your loan and are not normally available to withdraw.
