How do I open an account

Call in at our Parker Lane Office or one of our community access points and become a member. Our staff will help you fill in the relevant paperwork. You will need to bring Identification documents. See the application for membership – identity needed. You will also need £6.00. £1.00 of this covers the initial membership fee and the other £5.00 goes into your long term share account. There is an annual administration fee of £2.00 which is payable in September.

How do I make deposits into my account

You can make deposits by:

  • Standing order.
  • Payroll deduction if you work at a company with a payroll scheme. For details of our Payroll schemes; click here.
  • Having your child benefits paid into your account.
  • Cash and cheque payments at our central office or outlying community access points.

How do I get at my money?

  • You can withdraw up to £100 in cash from our Parker Lane Office just by calling in when we are open. Make sure you bring some ID with you.
  • Payments greater than £100 are authorised on a Monday (Tuesday when it is a bank holiday).
  • You can request up to £500 in cash or
  • You can ask for a cheque payable to yourself or a payee of your choice or
  • You can have funds paid direct to your bank or
  • Transferred on to your Credit Union Alto Debit Card.
